Congratulations to the MJHS Girls B basketball team on a successful season!

From Coach Overlock:

The MJHS B team girls finished their regular season with 9 wins and one loss. The team worked hard and improved immensely over the season. Possibly our most exciting win of the regular season was a 19-18 game against Medway, who we had previously lost to. Leading the season with points included Bella and Lily Kronholm, Kiara Niles, Gray Freeman, and Tiawna Rich. During our tournament (and regular season) we fell only to Medway, and fought the losing bracket to come back as runners up. 

Most importantly this season, we tried to learn how to work as a team, and that we’re better together than on our own. Special shout-out to Isabel Graham, Caidence Waycott, and Payton Brophy, for always keeping positive attitudes and uplifting the team. 

Improvements were seen across the board, but especially so in the following players: Gray Freeman (rebounds for days!), Laila Beesley-McDonald, Sophia Sweep, and Hope Gray. 

I am so proud of these girls and am so glad I was given the opportunity to coach them this season. I’m already looking forward to next year, and I hope they are as well!
