Mattanawcook Jr. High School

The MJHS math team concluded its season with a spring meet, with results as follows:

6th Grade: Vanessa Morse placed 2nd with Ayden Gordon, Michael Wortman, and Blake Cloukey scoring in the top 10. The team of Vanessa, Ayden, Michale, and Colby Thompson won first place and the team of Brady Cox, Blake Cloukey, Gabe Fiske, and Xandir Springer won fifth place.

7th Grade: Colton Michaud placed 1st, Kooper McCarthy 2nd, and Carter Milner 3rd. Stephen Sweep, Logan Martinez, and True Weatherbee scored in the top 10. The team of Colton, Kooper, Carter, and True won first place and the team of Stephen, Evan Theriault, Jasper Kingsley, and Logan placed 2nd.

8th Grade: Addison Cyr and Aidan Howe tied for 3rd place, and Derek Beach scored in the top 10. The team of Addison, Derek, Juliana Cloukey, and Kaelyn Cloukey placed 4th.

MJHS competes in the league division that includes Holbrook, Caravel, Ridgeview, and Wagner. Awards for overall season winners out of all the schools are given and MJHS received quite a few! Winning individual season awards are:

6th Grade : Vanessa Morse- 2nd, Ayden Gordon- 3rd, and Michael Wortman- Top 10.

7th Grade: Colton Michaud- 1st, Kooper McCarthy- 2nd, Logan Martinez- 3rd, and Stephen Sweep, Carter Milner, and True Weatherbee- Top 10. 

8th Grade: Addison Cyr and Aidan Howe- Top 10.

Each of these winners received a plaque for their accomplishment.

Team awards are given as well. Plaques for the following teams will be placed in trophy case:

6th Grade: Vanessa, Ayden, Michael, and Colby- 1st place team

7th Grade: Colton, Kooper, Carter, True- 1st place team, and Stephen, Evan, Jasper, and Logan- 2nd place team
