Mattanawcook Jr. High School

Fourth graders at Mattanawcook Junior High School recently completed a service learning project that allowed them to have a positive impact on Penobscot Valley Humane Society. Students learned about supply, demand, abundance, and scarcity in social studies class. After discussing how some people were having a hard time finding pet food, students agreed to have a pet food drive for the shelter. Representatives from Penobscot Valley Humane Society came to the school to pick up the donations.
