We would like to thank the Lincoln Fire Department for visiting MJHS today (December 15th) and distributing a smoke detector with a battery to each of our students. The department has already distributed smoke detectors to Ella P. Burr students and were able to fundraise to provide them for MJHS students as well. Captain Cory Stratton shared with students that having a working smoke detector is one of the most important ways to ensure their safety in the event of a fire. He asked the kids to bring them home and help the adults install them tonight. Once again, we are thankful for the generosity of our community in helping our students.
