2021-22 MJHS Home Basketball Game Procedures

Winter Sports Covid Guidelines at MJHS: 

  • The safety of our student-athletes is our number one priority. We are pleased to be able to play sports this winter and have fans in attendance to watch! 

  • UNIVERSAL MASKING OF ALL PEOPLE INSIDE THE GYM IS REQUIRED. There will not be concessions, and fans will not be permitted to eat or drink in the gym.

  • Due to the small size of our gym we WILL NOT BE ALLOWING AWAY FANS in the MJHS gym for basketball games this season. There will be live-streaming options available. We will share the links when they are available. 

  • We will be limiting the number of home fans to 3 people per basketball player and cheerleader per game. There will still be a regular admission fee for these attendees.

  • Each athlete will be given 3 passes for each game for their family. The same 3 people DO NOT have to attend each game. It can be 3 different people each time, that is up to the families. We will have a sign-up list that will be filled out by the player 24-48 hours prior to the game (usually at practice the day before a game). The names of the 3 people that are getting passes for that game will be on the list at the door, so we have a back up system in case the passes get lost. Passes will be given out at practice 24-48 hours before games. 

  • Please communicate clearly with your athlete about who is going to be attending each game. If adults need to call the school ahead of time to make changes to the list that is fine. The MJHS office is open from 7:00-3:30 Monday through Thursday and 7:00-3:00 on Friday. We know that schedules change and things happen. Just let us know as soon as you can. 

  • Please communicate clearly with everyone involved to make sure that all family/parents/guardians are given equal opportunity to watch games in person.
