Mattanawcook Jr. High School

Mattanawcook Junior High School would like to welcome our students and families to an open house on Monday, August 30th. We have two different times and formats depending on the grade your student is entering. 

For the health and safety of everyone, please read and follow these covid expectations. All visitors will need to wear a mask inside the building. Remember this is a meet and greet, not a teacher conference, so please limit your time in each classroom. Maintain at least 3 feet and preferably 6 feet distance from others while inside. 

4th and 5th graders will have a scavenger hunt from 4:00 - 6:00pm. You will receive your first clue outside the main entrance, and your hunt will take you around the building to locate your exploratory classes and other important rooms until you arrive at your homeroom for schedule information and necessary paperwork.

6th - 8th graders will have a traditional open house format from 4:30 - 6:30pm. Come to the tent outside the middle door entrance to find out your homeroom class and receive necessary paperwork. Proceed to your homeroom to meet your teacher.

If you can't make it to our open house, feel free to call the school on Tuesday, August 31st for information about your child's schedule and if you'd like to pick up paperwork. Wednesday, September 1st is our first day of school.

Please make sure you've registered students who are new to the school or returning from homeschooling at the RSU 67 Central Office  in order for us to create a schedule for them before our open house.
