Congratulations to the MJHS Lego Bots team for successfully competing at the Maine Robot Track Meet in Brewer on Saturday, May 20th!
From Coach Burns: Students have been preparing their LEGO robots for this competition since February. There were 10 teams in attendance and 11 different events for students to participate in. Riley Jordan earned 3rd place in the Strongest Robot competition, successfully pulling 30 pounds of weight. Ayden Kimball and Mathew Lee made 1st place in the Slope Climber competition, successfully climbing up a 50-degree incline. Camden Chambers and Kyler Nilssen came in 3rd for the Delivery Mission and earned a gold standard ribbon for completing it in under 25 seconds. Steven Burns and Spencer Millett came in 2nd for the Bridge competition, successfully holding up to 105 pounds. They also earned a gold standard ribbon. Emily Oldenburgh and Rose House made a valiant effort in the Fastest Robot competition. This fantastic team of students persevered through their struggles and successfully added two new trophies and a gold standard ribbon to MJHS Trophy Case.
