Math Team

The MJHS math team traveled to Bangor to compete in the Eastern Maine Math League spring final meet, and they had an outstanding day! The 24 competitors brought home 15 awards for the season.

Top awards by grade are:

Grade 6: William Robertson and Sophia Sweep earned top 10 individual honors. The team of William, Sophia, Breighson Plourde, and Tanner Worster earned third place for the season.

Grade 7: Vanessa Morse, Ayden Gordon, and Colby Thompson earned top 10 individual honors. The team including Vanessa, Ayden, and Colby earned third place for the season.

Grade 8: Carter Milner, True Weatherbee, and Logan Martinez earned top 10 individual honors. Kooper McCarthy placed third, Stephen Sweep placed second, and for the second year in a row, Colton Michaud was the first place individual scorer for his grade level for the season in our division. The team of Stephen, Logan, Jesse Wright, and Evan Theriault earned third place and the team of Colton, True, Kooper, and Carter placed first for the second year in a row.

Our MJHS math team won SECOND PLACE in our division, narrowly getting edged out by Ridgeview. Congratulations to all of the mathletes for an outstanding job! 

MJHS mathletes represented our school with class, and we are very proud of your accomplishments! We will miss our 8th graders next year, and hope they continue to participate in math team in high school.
