Mattanawcook Jr. High School

The league results are in for the Eastern Maine Math League’s winter meet. Our team competes against Ridgeview, Wagner, Caravel, Holbrook and Glenburn.

Winter Meet Results:

William Robertson scored in the top 10 of all 6th grade competitors.

Ayden Gordon, Michael Wortman, Xandir Springer and Vanessa Morse scored in
the top 10 of the 7th graders and the team of Vanessa, Ayden, Colby Thompson and
Gabe Fiske took third place.

In 8th grade, Colton Michaud took first, Kooper McCarthy second, Stephen Sweep
was third and Logan Martinez and Carter Milner scored in the top 10. The team of
Colton, Kooper, Carter and True placed first and the team of Logan, Stephen, Evan
and Liam got third place.

Season Update:

As we head into the final meet in early April, the MJHS math team is 22 points
ahead of Ridgeview. 

Fall and Winter scores are combined and the following
students are currently in the top 10 of their grade level:
William Robertson, Sophia Sweep, Ayden Gordon, Vanessa Morse, Colby
Thompson, Bella Kronholm, Kooper McCarthy, Carter Milner, and True
Weatherbee. 

Stephen Sweep and Logan Martinez are tied for second in grade 8 and Colton Michaud is currently first in grade 8.

The team of Vanessa, Ayden, Colby and Gabe are third in the league in grade 7 and
the team of Logan, Stephen, Evan, and Liam are third in grade 8.

The team of Colton, Kooper, Carter, and True are ranked first in grade 8.
