Congratulations to the MJHS Cheerleaders on a fantastic season!
From Coach King:
This season was a very successful one for the MJHS Competition Cheer Squad! We added many new faces to our roster this year, and tirelessly each member worked hard to push themselves towards individual & squad goals! The squads talent continues to amaze me, as there is no skill they will not work towards accomplishing! Their drive, dedication & team work are what continue to have them performing at the top!
We were able to attend the Bucksport invitational competition, where we faced four other squads. Up against a very elite Reeds Brook squad the cheerleaders were able to snag Runners Up! Over the next week, they put effort into perfecting their routine, and attended our Penquis League Competition where we faced six other squads, gave a true MJHS spirited performance, and earned the title of Penquis League Cheerleading Champions!
We lose 8th graders Kaelyn Peters, Kenzi Peters, Kami Rideout, and Breonah Rich next season; I look forward to seeing their continued cheer success in Maroon & Gray as well as seeing many of our talented cheerleaders return & help to welcome new eager faces to next season!
Proud is an understatement!
