Tomorrow's boys varsity and junior varsity basketball games at PVHS have been moved back to 1:00 (JV) and 2:30 (Varsity). The bus will leave MA at Noon.
Due to the forecast of freezing rain and potentially dangerous travel conditions the MA wrestling team will not be attending the wrestling meet at Mountain Valley tomorrow, Saturday, 12/11.
A couple of athletic reminders:
1. Today is winter sports picture day starting at 1:40
2. Boys JV and Varsity basketball players will start receiving spectator passes today for their game at PVHS on Saturday.
The boys and girls varsity preseason basketball games at Houlton tonight will be livestreamed on whoufm.com The girls play at 5:30 and the boys at 7:00. Away fans are allowed. The bus leaves at 3:30.
For the boys JV and Varsity basketball games at PVHS this Saturday we have 50 passes that the coaches will be distributing to the players on the teams this week. Please keep an eye out for these to come home and don't lose them. You must have a pass to be able to get into the games at PVHS. They are charging admission for the games.
MA wrestling goes to Bucksport tomorrow for a preseason match. There are no away fans allowed, but it is being streamed at: https://bhsathletics.mylivegame.com/
MA varsity basketball host Presque Isle tomorrow (12/4) in a pair preseason exhibition games. Girls play at 11:00 and the boys play at 12:30. We are allowing home and away fans. Everyone in the gym must wear a mask. We are charging admission and we are attempting to livestream on the NFHS paid site just like last year. We are doing a test run for this preseason game, so please be patient.
Away fans are allowed at tonight's girls (4:30) and boys (6:00) games at PCHS. The game will also be available on livestream at the following link:

Here is some more covid information for you. If your student-athlete test positive for covid there is a form that needs to be filled out prior to them returning to action. Once they can return to action there are gradual return to play guidelines that are similar to last year, but slightly different based on the doctor's note on the PCP form. MA winter sports season begins on Monday 11/22 make sure that you fill out your paperwork on family ID and make sure your student-athlete's physical is up to date. The Winter Sports Covid Guidelines have been posted on the school website. Go to rsu67.org and choose "Mattanawcook Academy" from the sites drop down menu. Then once you are on the MA site you click on the menu drop down and scroll down to "MA Athletics" and click on the RSU 67 Winter Sports Covid Guidelines link.
