Happy New Year! This month’s newsletter is a week later than normal because I did not ask the staff for their information until after vacation so they could enjoy their time with family. I have been pleased with how well everyone has transitioned back into the school routine, it’s like we never left. January begins our monthly grade-level concerts, with this month being our first-grade concert. Doors open at 12:30 and the concert begins at 1:00, so please plan accordingly. For those of you who depend on the district/school website for information, you may have noticed it is not currently available. The reason for that is we are transitioning to a new company, one which will include an app for your phone. While we are all excited for the numerous possibilities, it will take a while to get it totally completed. Be on the lookout for when it goes live. There has also been a transition in the office. Mrs. Murchie has finally retired after over 22 years as our secretary and Mrs. Bubar has taken her place. The challenge for this transition is Mrs. Murchie knew EVERYBODY and their neighbors, so when you call in to say your child is going to Grammy’s Mrs. Bubar might not know who Grammy is. It will be helpful if you can use the name of the person your child is going to until Mrs. Bubar has some of Mrs. Murchie’s vast knowledge of EPB family trees. Have a great month and I hope to see you at school.
