Jean Skorapa Elected Superintendent
Regional School Unit No. 67 announces that Jean Skorapa was elected as the next Superintendent by the School Board at their meeting on March 6. She will succeed Mr. Raymond Freve, Interim Superintendent. She will report to work on June 1, 2019.
Mrs. Skorapa is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Schools for Regional School Unit #3, located in Waldo County. Previously, she served as Principal of Harriet Beecher Stowe School and Hawthorne School as well as the Curriculum Coordinator for the Brunswick School Department. In addition, she has sixteen years of experience as a classroom teacher.
Mrs. Skorapa is a proud member of Mattanawcook Academy’s Class of 1983. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, a Masters in Literacy Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership. She expresses genuine interest in RSU No. 67, the staff and students and looks forward to joining the community.
