Good afternoon,
We have just been made aware of a potential threat at Mattanawcook Junior High School. All students and staff are safe, but per our safety protocols, we are evacuating all students and staff to the Mattanawcook Academy gymnasium. All students will be dismissed at their regular time from Mattanawcook Academy. However, if you would like to pick up your child before the regular dismissal time, there will be staff available at the gym to assist you in dismissing your child(ren).
The district takes all threats seriously and we are working with local law enforcement to investigate this threat. At this time, we do not believe that this will impact our day tomorrow. However, all afternoon Mattanawcook Junior High School activities are canceled today. We will update you should we have any additional information.
